This relaxing ecological retreat takes us right into the heart of it, through cloud forests, unique rock formations, hundreds of beautiful rivers and waterfalls, all of which combine to make the region the islands biggest source of fresh water, spawning countless numbers of rivers and creeks, which then run throughout the whole country.

For many, the northeast region of the island is by far the most beautiful. It is home to one of the richest ecosystems on the planet, Los Haitises, where some of the most important archeological discoveries in the region have been made.
