Jarabacoa
Jarabacoa is a quiet mountain town located in the center of the Dominican Republic. It has an average temperature of 66 degrees Fahrenheit, and during the winter months the temperatura can dip down to 44 degrees.
This cozy mountain town nestled in the heart of the Cordillera Central mountain range, and therefore has many ecological attractions to offer. The town provides the quickest and easiest access to Pico Duarte, the tallest peak in the Caribbean at 10,400 feet. To climb this mountain is no easy feat, its ascent takes 3 unforgettable days amongst some of the most dense and untouched forests in the Greater Antilles.
