Punta Cana
Punta Cana is located in the Eastern region of the Dominican Republic. It is home to the Punta Cana International Airport, which receives more flights than the primary airport, Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo. It’s renowned for its white sandy beaches complimented by turquoise blue waters, such as Macao, El Cortesito, Uvero Alto and Bavaro Beach, among others.
Bavaro, considered part of Punta Cana, is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the country, although foreigners usually stay in all inclusive hotels here, there is something very appealing for the eco lover. Bavaro Lagoon is home to more than 300 different species of plants, three of which are in risk of endangerment.
